This Special Events Process solution is built around a task management App. For our demonstrations, we will use both the Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do Apps. Apple Reminders is restricted to Apple products only, whereas Microsoft To Do works on any digital platform. MS To Do can be downloaded from any App Store.

SAME DAY SPECIAL EVENTS

In the following video, we will demonstrate a solution for reminding you of a Special Event on the actual day of the event. Often, recognizing a Special Event results in just an E-mail, text or phone call. This is the PERFECT SOLUTION for reminding you to make that quick recognition contact.

**GONE are the days worrying about missing an important Special Event,**

or forgetting to write thank you letters! Let your defined system do the remembering and reminding, so that you can focus on the event and the people involved.

Action: As time permits over next few weeks, add annually repeating Reminders / Tasks for Special Events where you plan to either call, E-mail or text the individual(s) on the day of the Special Event.

Action: Consider turning on Notifications for Apple Reminders or Microsoft To Do. Turning on the notification ensures that you are proactively alerted regarding Reminders / Tasks.

No more last minute trips to the store to buy gifts or a card!

Action: Add the needed "Create a Project for..." annually repeating Reminders / Tasks to your Special Events list for events that will require advanced planning and purchases.

GIFT WRAPPING STATION

QUESTION: How long does it take you to wrap a single gift? Don’t forget to add the time it takes to find, and eventually return, the tape, wrapping paper, bows, scissors, etc.

“Does anybody know where the tape and scissors are?” “Are we really out of wrapping paper?”

In our home, the gift wrapping station is a permanent fixture as there are always gifts to be wrapped throughout the year. In addition, the solution also doubles as a place to prepare packages to be shipped.

The Holiday Season, for many, involves wrapping numerous gifts.

One of the many benefits of a gift wrapping station is being able to quickly wrap (zero setup time required) a few gifts here and there as time permits. We make it a goal to wrap a couple of gifts each day, and before you know it, the Holiday Season gift wrapping job is done, if one gets started early enough. I work out of the home, so I achieve my daily wrapping goal as a way of taking a mental break from the computer screen.
